Mississippi Top 20 Returning Boys Freshmen XC

Looking at the list you do not see many Class 6A runners. The reason for this is unless they are a particularly fast runner like Cameron Entremont, Brandon they have a harder time breaking into the varsity squads at that level. Class 6A and 5A to some extent have the numbers to let an underclass man mature before running on the Varsity team. Never had that problem when I was coaching in 4A most freshman made it to Varsity fairly early.
