This comparison of JaRule Melvin, Tylertown vs Jaquan Webb has some surprising results. JaRule last year as a 8th grader had a faster 100 Meter dash but Jaquan a sophomore had the faster time in 200. Probably the only hope we may have that these two meet head to head is if both teams compete at the Mississippi College Blue Cross/Blue Shield meet this year. Last year they ran on the same track but in different divisions a the State Meet. Jaquan false started in the 100 meter 5A race while JaRule could only finish 8th in the 3A race. In the 200 meter race Jaquan stormed back to avenge his 100 with a first place personal best 21.36 in the 200 while JaRule finished 4th in the 3A race with a 22.57. We have to remember that an 8th grader might just not run their best in their first State Meet while we expect a sophomore to excel. All in all I hope we see these two go head to head sometime this season.
