WHEN: Friday, September 2, 2022

WHERE: Choctaw Trails, Clinton, MS (5201 N. McRaven Rd., Jackson, MS).
IMPORTANT: There is a bridge down on McRaven Rd that may cause a detour to Choctaw Trails. Alternative maps can be provided upon request.

ENTRY FEE: $150.00 per gender per race with no school paying more than $300. If you are in a school with less than 5 athletes, there will be a $25 charge for each individual. Unattached athletes are welcome.
BRING TO MEET, Checks made out to Mississippi College.

ENTRY PROCESS: ONLINE ENTRIES will begin on July 4th and will close on August 30th at 11:59 p.m. Enter Online at Direct Athletics (You may Add, Delete, and Change any time until entries are closed)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Historic Choctaw Trails has been reimagined and redesigned to host the Souths best cross-country experience for everyone including athletes, coaches, and spectators. With ample parking for fans, shaded team tent areas for coaches and athletes, and designated restrooms for both, Choctaw Trails provides everything needed to experience cross country at its finest. The course boasts a starting line big enough to safely accommodate 40 teams and every step will be run on grass. A 30+ foot width at all points, the course affords front-runners, mid-packers, and come-from-behind strategists alike a safe opportunity to compete.Course markings can be found at every kilometer and every mile, and multiple clocks make it easy to track athletes times. The last 800m is sure to inspire as it loops adjacent to the finish line, and two sets of bleachers line the final stretch to help spectators cheer athletes through the finish line. From the improved course to the electric atmosphere, Choctaw Trails delivers the ultimate cross-country experience.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: A certified and licensed athletic trainer will monitor the weather andmake the decision to suspend activity in the event of inclement weather. If it is recommended thatactivity should be suspended the athletic trainer will notify the race director, MC game administratorand the PA announcer. Teams will be asked to seek shelter by returning to their respective travelbus/van and fans will need to return to their vehicles. Activity shall not resume until given the ALL CLEARby the athletic trainer. Teams will be given a minimum of 30 mins to warm up before activity isresumed.
