Meet Information
This meet is open to all teams. Per MHSAA rules, no MHSAA team can compete against Homeschool teams. We are aware of this rule and for this reason, there will be two divisions (blue and gold), with MHSAA teams running in the gold division and Homeschool teams running in the blue division. MAIS teams will be split between the two divisions for balanced fields. No MHSAA teams will be running against Homeschool teams.
The registration fee is $50 per team with a $100 maximum per school or team. Boys and Girls are considered separate teams. Unattached runners will be $15 each. Younger runners can participate in the open race if their team is registered in the varsity races otherwise they will pay the varsity fees to run the open race. Any runner 13 years old or older must run the 5K event.
The course has some grass, hills, woods trails, and asphalt. Spikes are not recommended.
The schedule will be:
Gold Division Varsity Girls 5K - 3:00 PM
Gold Division Varsity Boys 5K - 3:45 PM
2-mile Open Race - 4:15 PM
Blue Division Varsity Girls 5K - 4:45 PM
Blue Division Varsity Boys 5K - 5:30 PM
T-shirts will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in the each race and medallions will be awarded to the 1st place finishers in all 5 races.
The event will be held at the Harrison County Fairgrounds on County Farm Rd in Gulfport.
Registration fees can be paid on PayPal or paid on race day at packet pick up. There will be no race day registration.
There will be a $5 charge for parking for cars/trucks and $10 for buses. Please advise your parents prior to their arrival of this.
