RULES OF MHSAA
COMPETITION:
WHO CAN COMPETE: Open to all high schools in Mississippi (both private and public) in addition to surrounding states
ENTRIES: Will be done online by Direct Athletics, www.directatletics.com
If you do not already have an account for your team, you may request an account by emailing support@directathletics.com. Upon packet pick-up you will need to make any scratches from the meet.
No Additions or Substitutions will be allowed.
No Emailed, faxed, or phoned entries
ALL ENTRIES DUE BY TUESDAY, MARCH 17, 2020
BULLDOG EVENT ENTRIES:
There will be a limit of 3 entries per team entered in each event.
PLEASE NOTE:
Starting Heights/Minimum Measurements for Field Events:
Boys Girls
High Jump 58 46
Pole Vault 90 70
Long Jump 190 150
Triple Jump 390 300
Discus 1100 80 0
Shot Put 400 27 0
ENTRY FEES: There will be an Entry Fee of $100.00 a Team, ($100 for Men and $100 for Women) or $200 per school. All high schools make checks payable to: MSU
SCORING: This is a scored competition, Scoring will be:
Individual Events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Relay Events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
PREFERED LANES: 5-6-4-7-3-8-2-9-1
RESULTS: Will be posted at the conclusion of each event inside the stadium. Final results will be located at cfpitiminig.com
AWARDS: There will be T-shirts for the winning individual and relay Teams. There will be trophies for the Top 2 Mens & Womens Teams.
ADMISSION PRICES: FREE for all spectators
WARM-UP AREA: General warm up outside of stadium. The Track & Field Complex will be closed for any warm-ups. The adjacent practice football fields will be open for warm-ups for the meet. NO THROWING ON THE WARM-UP FB FIELDS.
WEIGH INS: Implement Weigh-ins will be at 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM for the Shot Put and Discus. Implements not weighed at this time will not be thrown. All implements will be held until the start of warm-ups for each individual competition.
**MSU is NOT responsible for implements. Be sure to pick them up after completion of the competition
SAFETY: NO HEADPHONES OR AUDIO DEVICES ARE ALLOWED ON THE INFIELD or TRACK AT ANY TIME! Failure to comply will be subject to disqualification
