Process: Complete the MHSAA Team Roster Form (attachment with this e-mail) for entire team (including all possible relay members) and fax to (601)249-4737 Attention Jeffery Gibson by noon Wednesday April 26. Entry fees of $10 per athlete are to be paid at the meet on April 29, 2017

Meet Admission: $5.00

Meet Assistance: Im asking each school to help run off a field
event!!! These individuals should report to their respective
assigned event area 30 minutes prior to the start of their event!!!

MHSAA 4A SOUTH STATE TRACK MEET
COACHES INFORMATION SHEET

An athlete may participate in a maximum of four (4) events including relays!!!

Entry Fee: $10.00 per athlete!

Top Four participants in each event will qualify for the South State.

Each school will be asked to help run off a field event!

Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Athletes must compete in a school issued uniform!!!

Vaulters must turn in a signed Pole Vault Confirmation Form to the Pole Vault Judge in order to compete!

Coaches must complete a Relay Entry Confirmation Sheet and turn in to the Clerk of the Course before the end of the meet! This form must be accurate!!!

Schools should secure all valuables during the meet. Items with any value should not be left on team buses.

Implement Weigh In: All throwing implements must be checked and weighted in by 10:15 a.m. by meet personnel. Only marked implements that meet the required specifications will be allowed in competition! Implements that do not meet specifications will be impounded during the meet. Impounded implements may be picked up after the conclusion of the field events.

An automatic timing device will be used in all races. Athletes may be recalled at the start if the timing device does not start!!!

Spikes: 1/8" or 3/16 ONLY! High jump shoe rear spikes for jumping foot only may have a maximum length of 1/4"!

ALL TEAMS WILL SIT IN THE VISITORS SECTION OF THE BLEACHERS (NO PARENTS).
Please have your athletes to warm up in the sectioned off part of the football field only.
HEATING BENCH WILL BE IN THE SOUTH ENDZONE AWAY FROM THE SCORE BOARD.
Please enter the heating area from the south end zone.
When athletes finish their event please have them to exit the track through the north end zone.
The track is open for warm-ups from 10am-11:15am.
We will have the concession stand available on the home side.
Ribbons will be given to 1st through 4th place finishers.
