Who is the Mississippi Girls XC POTW (Sep. 29-Oct. 5)?

Last week's winner was Jewel Baker from East Rankin Academy. She completed an impressive double by competing at two meets in one week, running stunning times at both. At the Delta Dash, she broke the 19-minute barrier for the first time with her mark of 18:59. Just a few days later, she competed at the On Twilight at PR'ville and placed 18th overall with a time of 19:02. Jewel's consistency and endurance are extremely impressive and prove that she is one of the state's top runners. Since her double last week, Jewel has competed at the Hoka Frank Horton "Night" Classic, placing 22nd with a time of 19:11. She will continue her season next week at the Watson Classic. 

**Once an athlete has won performer of the week, they will be exempt from nomination for two weeks to prevent the same athlete from winning the award every week. If an athlete is nominated for national performer of the week, they will also be exempt from voting for that week**
