High School Girls - Team

**The meet will be held at Clinton High School on the roads this year, due to the weather**

The Rundown: 

The heavy favorite to take the high school girl's team title is, technically, the host team, the Clinton High School Lady Arrows. 

If we could describe this team in one word, it would be the word "depth". There is a high chance that Emily Ireland of St. Andrew's will take the No. 1 spot, but Clinton could potentially put four in the top five after Ireland. 

On paper, they have the fastest No. 2-5 runners going into the 2022 Jaguar Trails Opener, and even have some dark horses such as Ella Goolsby that could potentially sneak inside of the top 10. 

They are led by Evelyn Mata-O'Dwyer and Sabine Cook, two MHSAA 6A State Championship qualifiers in the 1600m who have gone under 21 minutes in the 5K. 

Madison Central HS also has a solid crew, and are the favorites for the runner-up position. 

Here is our pick: We simply can't imagine a scenario where Clinton doesn't take this one, as every other time would have run some massive PRs in order to upset the Lady Arrows. Anything goes on race day, but we're calling Clinton to take the win in the High School Girl's competition at the 2022 Jaguar Trails Opener.
