Meet Preview: Jaguar Trails Opener

High School Boys - Team

**The meet will be run at Clinton High School on the roads this year, due to the weather**

The Rundown:

Based on the consistency and times from Madison Central HS last year, as well as their progression from the 2022 track season, it is looking like the Jaguars will most likely open up their season with a win.

They have a great low stick in Brannon, a potential dark horse in their No. 2 in Owens, and some major upside with their 3-5 runners, including 4:48 miler Tom Adcock

With a solid No. 5 runner and 3-5 split of 10 seconds, this team seemingly has it all.

However, Clinton High School will not be far behind them by any means. Depth is Clinton High's strength. If Madison Central doesn't bring it on the day, Clinton can absolutely come from behind.

The key to success for either of the teams to come out on top will be not in their low sticks, but in their respective number five runners. Whoever can get their fifth runner in the top ten first will be the winner.

Here is our pick: It's essentially a dual meet between Madison Central and Clinton. Madison Central has the razor-thin edge needed to take the win at this meet from a numbers standpoint. However, they will need to come with their A-game in order to pull it off, or Clinton could upset them.

With that being said, we put the Jaguars at No. 3 for a reason. If they are deserving of that spot, and we think that they are, then they should be able to snag the win at the 2022 Jaguar Trails Opener.
