Zachary Josiah-Nobles, South Jones High School

RESULTS: 2022 Lamar School 2-mile

MHSAA 5A State Medalist Zachary Josiah-Nobles took the win in 11:13 beating out future star Evan Hallford of Neshoba Central. Brody Creel of PCS took the bronze medal.

The boys of Presbyterian Christian seemingly has their full squad back and took the team win over Lamar School, Morton High, and Meridian High

Rachele Chung of PCS took home a narrow victory over Neshoba Central's Sloane Blackstock, winning by 0.8 seconds with a time of 14:44.70. 

Meridian High took the home over Morton with a score of 18 points.

Jayden Smith, Simpson Academy

In the middle school races at the Lamar School 2-mile, Lenox Joyner ran a time of 15:15 to win by over two minutes, crushing the field on her way to victory. In the middle school boy's race, Guage Fortenberry led a Morton 1-2-3 sweep, winning in a time of 14:04. 

Morton won both genders in the middle school team races at the Lamar School 2-mile. 

Simpson Academy's Jayden Smith earned his second win of the season, running a time of 12:22 in the 2-mile and winning by over 30 seconds. Smith led Simpson to a 1-2-3 sweep, as Simpson also won the junior high boys team title.

Park Place's Lena Cole dug deep and earned her first win of the season, beating out Silliman's Natalie Payne by 1.03 seconds. Payne led Silliman to the junior high girls team title. 

Cooper Putt of Senatobia won the junior high boys race at the 2022 South Panola XC Classic, and hometown hero Shakorria Leland of South Panola defended her home course and won the junior high girls race.
