The Rundown: 

Elliot Davis, the reigning MAIS 6A Cross Country State Champion, will be opening his season at the 2022 Jackson Prep XC Invitational. 

A talented rising sophomore from Jackson Preparatory School, Davis went 4:39 in the 1600m as a freshman at the 2022 MAIS 6A Track and Field Championships.

As one can see above, Davis also snagged his first-ever state title during his freshmen season, and could potentially be due for many more. 

Monday will start his sophomore campaign in order to do so. 

Here is our pick: Not only will Davis take another win this year, but Jackson Preparatory will take the one through three spots with Evan Reynolds and Noah Giesecke. However, it won't be easy because of Samuel Lewis of Christ Covenant and Truman Poole of St. Augustine could shake the Prep boys up.
