A Week of Summer Training: Julia Stradinger

Stradinger taking the win at the 2020 MC Watson Invitational - GOLD Division

---

SUNDAY: Off day. Normally, I try to get in 3-4 miles depending on how tired my body is from the week prior. I try to get in some good stretching as well.

MONDAY: Normally would have done a tempo with the team, but due to the weather, the practice was canceled. So, I just did 4 miles on my own with strides afterward. I also had work later in the day and was on my feet for 4 hours, so I was keeping my eye on that but didn't feel too tired.

TUESDAY: Ran 5 miles on my own in the morning, then did a strength and ab circuit afterward. I had work again today and felt a lot more tired at the end of the day today.

WEDNESDAY: Today, we had team practice and had an Anaerobic Threshold workout, which was 4-minute repeats at a faster pace (6:10 avg pace). I was out of town last week in Colorado, so it was a little hard to jump into a faster workout again. The last rep was pretty hard. I also had work again later in the day.

THURSDAY: Normally, I would not have gone as long as I did, but I got the opportunity to run with a good college runner and went 9 miles at 7:44 per mile for the day.

FRIDAY: Team practice today, and I just ran 3 easy miles with some strides afterward. I felt good and think that it was a great recovery. I also was on my feet all day today, so I was pretty tired towards the end of the day.

SATURDAY: 6.5 miles today. Normally, I would have run 7-9, but since I ran so much on Thursday, I shortened it just a little bit. I ran an easy warmup mile and then 5.5 miles at 7:50 per mile.
