Balcer Nabs 2 State Records in the Same Weekend

Lastly, one day we might get lucky enough for another young talent to fill his shoes. Balcer sure has a lot of youth that look up to him and want to be at the level he is at. And one day... someone will.

Mississippi MileSplit wants to thank not only Balcer, but all seniors who left their mark on Mississippi track and cross country.

From Balcer and Chase Rose's battle at the 2020 MC Watson Meet, to Brady Helms and JT Posey duking it out for a 3200m 6A State Title.

From Aaron Fortenberry clearing magnificent heights in the Pole Vault, to Camrun Norman showing us how it's done in the jumps.

From Madison Jones  going from winning her first ever state title, to being a state record holder just 1 month later.

And lastly, and personally one of my favorites, from Amyia White winning her first ever state title in the 100m Hurdles, doing so as a "short girl", and in her words, showing anybody that once you set your mind to it, you can get it done.

From these examples, and the thousands of seniors in between, Mississippi MileSplit thanks you for paving the way for our young and up-and-coming stars, giving them someone to look up to, and something to look forward to. We wish every senior the best of luck on their future endeavors!
