Top Ten Boys 5K On Saturday Morning

Brookhaven flexed its Class 5A power at the District 5-6-7 meet taking the top six spots. Team leader Jacob Britt gave up his position to help Sam Arnold push his best time to 16:38.59. The Brookhaven team had times that started with Sams time to seventh place Trey Knott's 17:58.72 personal record. Three of the top ten on the charts managed to get in some racing this week and improved their times.

Christian Balcer, East Central has the top time this week. The George County course is a fairly tough course to run on and his 15:50.28 sets him up to run a great time at State.

Grayson Edwards, Northwest Rankin ran his best time of the season at the same meet as the Sam Arnold but in the Class 6A race. Grayson was trying to beat his best time of 16:50 and in the perfect running conditions ran 16:38.59 to put him in top three in Class 6A.
