We made it through week three y'all and I'm pretty sure it's just getting hotter. The will power it takes to push through our practices is insane; so exceptional job to everyone!  If you question why you're enduring this insanity, just keep pushing yourself forward. Eventually you'll see that every workout possesses a physical and mental benefit. 

My team and I had our first long run this week. We started at Pass Christian harbor and ran east towards Long Beach.  Even though it was extremely hot, I felt so accomplished when I finished. We also had a speed-work simulation and a heart rate threshold run.  Then our coaches decided to let us have a little bit of fun on Friday.  Instead of our usual 3-4 mile recovery run, we got to close the week out with a stadium circuit run. 

I know competition time is getting close.  My first meet is this upcoming Thursday in Brookhaven. I hope everyone keeps training hard and I wish you the best in your first meet!
