Preston Burks, Hernando qualified for the AAU Jr. Nationals at the AAU Club Championships. He did not let a emergency appendectomy slow his down this summer. He ran the 2K steeplechase in 6:49.48 to finish second. This rising senior also qualified in the 3000 meter run but will only run the Steeplechase this weekend. He finished seventh at the MHSAA Class 6A Championships in the 1600 meters.
