Jaylon Stovall, Pearl Jumps Long at Region 3-6A


Jaylon Stovall, Pearl jumped a State Leading 23'6.5 to win the Region 3-6A long jump. He has jumped 22 feet a number of times but put it all together at this meet. 


Arturro Bingham, Terry out jumped Tito Chez Turner, Meridian 6'8" to 6'6" to take over the state lead in the High Jump.


Darius Moffite, Meridian went 45"01.5" in the Triple Jump.

The Meridian High boys 4X200 team out ran Pearl to take the race 1:29.29 to 1:29.60. This moves Meridian to the number four slot in the State.

In the girls races Jerricka Ambus, Brandon went head to head against Lyric Reed, Meridian in the 100 Hurdles and emerged victorious 14.74 to 14.76 in a close race. This will set up some furious hurdling action as the two will compete next at the South State Championships and of course the State Championships.
