Weather: A Major Factor in Track This Week

Normally the major factors at a track meet are too hot or too cold, is the wind at the back of the sprinters or in the face of all runners and is it going to rain. This week it was a combination of cold, rain and wind that caused a majority of the meets to be cancelled. Of the meet scheduled we had eleven that were run and results posted. We had six cancelled due to weather and nine that have no results posted if they did run.

With district meets for the MHSAA starting next week there will be no make ups and coaches will have to go with the season marks already in the book. Mississippi MileSplit will put up the top runners by events for both the MHSAA and the MAIS later today in case some of the other meet results come in.
