Back to Pontotoc
The Water Valley Cross Country team will pack up and head back to Pontotoc this weekend for the South Pontotoc Invitational. It is always a fun race, and an awesome course to run on! It has everything that reminds you of MC Watson. I've had my mind on nothing else but the race this week, so I am anxious to get on the starting line tomorrow!
Last weekend, we competed in the Pontotoc Invitational. Our team came away with two top finishers. Lillian Lindsey placed 8th in 3A girls, and I claimed 2nd place in 3A guys- second to THE one and only Tanner Childs who ran a 17:49! It was, as usual, a fun racing atmosphere and good competition.
This will be my last race before State on November 6th. I literally cannot wrap my mind around how fast this season has gone by, but what a season it has been! I encourage you to work hard these last few weeks of Cross Country. Put everything you have into your training, and reach your goals. This is what you have been working for. The state meet is calling your name, so go and be great. Good luck this weekend .#begreat
