Meet Information

AGE DIVISIONS & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Individuals: Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States, and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete in these Championships. See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions. A competitor must compete in his/her age division only. There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays. Competitors in the Tiny Tots, Sub-Bantam, Bantam and Midget divisions may compete in a maximum of three events, including relays. Competitors in the Youth, Intermediate, and Young divisions may compete in a maximum of four events, including relays. Combined events are not included in the event count. All athletes must be 2011 members of USATF in good standing.
Relay Teams: Only registered 2011 USATF member clubs may enter a relay team(s). All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF membership.

Tiny Tots (2005 and later)
Sub-Bantam (2003 and 2004)
Bantam (born 2001 2002)
Midget (born 19992000)
Youth (born 19971998)
Intermediate (born 19951996)
Young (born 1993-1994) * athletes born in 1989 are also eligible if they do not turn 19 on or before 8/1/1992
ENTRY PROCESS:

$6.00 per athlete $20.00 per relay team $10.00 for Triathlon and Pentathlon $12.00 for Heptathlon and Decathlon
On-Line Registration: Online registration will be done on www.usatfsouthern.org. Entries closed at 11:59 PM EST on June 21st
All entries must be made through USATF system which will verify USATF membership. In addition, you must submit at the meet two copies of the Junior Olympic Entry and Advancement Form. Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, drivers license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted ON THE BACK OF each entry form. For relay team entry, please follow the instructions on the official Relay Roster Form.
Deliver all age verification documents at the registration area to be announced prior to the meet.
AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top three individuals (top three teams in the relay events) in each event of each age division.
ADVANCEMENTS: The top 5 individuals and relay teams in each event of each age division will advance to the USATF Region 6 Championships to be held on July 7-10, 2011.
Advancement process to the USATF Region 6 Championships meet will be provided in meet packet and on www.usatfsouthern.org. The National Championships will be held from Tuesday, July 27 to Sunday, August 1 at Wichita, KS. The top 3 athletes at the Region 6 Championships will qualify for the National Championships.
