2016 MHSAA 7-4A DIVISIONAL TRACK MEET

APRIL 12, 2016

-ALL TEAMS WILL SIT IN THE VISITORS SECTION OF THE BLEACHERS (NO PARENTS).
-Please have your athletes to warm up in the sectioned off part of the football field only.
* HEATING BENCH WILL BE IN THE SOUTH ENDZONE AWAY FROM THE SCORE BOARD.

-Please enter the heating area from the south end zone.
-When athletes finish their event please have them to exit the track through the north end zone.
-The track is open for warm-ups from 11:00am-12:00pm.
-We will have the concession stands available on the home and visitors side.
-Please designate one coach to help work an event. (Your help is greatly appreciated).
-Ribbons will be given to 1st through 4th place finishers.

Entries: Entries will be done on-line at www.ms.milesplit.com. On-line entry instructions are included with this email. Entry date begins April 1, 2016. The meet will close for entries on April 9, 2016.

Entry Deadline: 12:00 midnight, April 9. Schools that do not meet this deadline will be fined $100.00 in order to compete. After the entry deadline no additions will be allowed!!! Any corrections and/or changes must be made with the meet director by 12:00 noon Monday, April 11, 2016. After the 12:00 noon deadline teams will be allowed to make changes (even on the day of the meet), but will be charged $10.00 for each and every change payable to the host school!!! Only changes due to injuries, sickness and no shows will be exempt from the $10.00 charge, but there will be no change for an athlete that has qualified for finals. The athlete that makes it to finals must compete in the final no exceptions.!!!

Entry Fee: $10.00 per athlete. Make checks payable to McComb High School.

General Admission: $5.00

Important Notes: Top four (4) participants from each event will qualify for regional meet.

COACHES INFORMATION SHEET

Each team may enter three (3) participants in each individual event and one team in each relay.

Athletes may participate in a maximum of four (4) events including relays.

General Meet Admission:

Scoring: The number of teams entered in each division will determine scoring for that division. 10,8,6,4,2,1

The No False Start Rule will be in effect.

The top four (4) from each heat in each event will qualify for Regionals!!!

An automatic timing device will be used in all races. Athletes may be recalled at the start if the timing device does not start!!!

Athletes are to warm-up on the infield. On the first call athletes are to report to the Clerk of the Course. Athletes that do not report will be scratched. On the second call athletes will be released to report to the starting line or exchange zone areas. On the third call athletes are to move on to their assigned positions/lanes on the track. Athletes are to move out of the infield area at the completion of their event.

NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED IN COMPETITION AREAS EXCEPT COACHES AND ATHLETES PARTICIPATING AT THAT TIME. ALL COACHES MUST STAY IN THE DESIGNATED COACHES AREAS. AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE FIELD EVENTS AND DURING THE TRACK EVENTS. ATHLETES NOT COMPETING ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE INFIELD. This will be enforced!!!!

Each competitor must compete in a proper school issued uniform (Rule 4 - 3). In relay races each team member shall wear the same color and design school uniform. When other apparel is worn under the uniform in relays, it shall be of the same color for all teammates choosing to wear them.

After completing a race athletes are to remain in their lanes and walk back and stay at the finish line until released by meet personnel.

Starting Blocks will be provided! Schools will not be allowed to use their own blocks!

The stands on the side with the press box are for spectators only. We ask that coaches please monitor their athletes.

Competitors competing in the vault must turn in a signed Pole Vault Confirmation Form to the Pole Vault Judge in order to compete!

Coaches with a team in the relays must turn in a Relay Entry Confirmation Sheet to the clerk of the course. Any changes made during the meet must be made on the confirmation sheet prior to the end of the meet.
