Mid South Junior High Cross Country Championships
Date: Saturday, October 24th
Divisions: Middle School (7th & 8th) & Freshman (9th)
Order of Events and Race Distances:
1:00 p.m. Freshman Girls Race (5000m)
1:30 p.m. Freshman Boys Race (5000m)
2:00 p.m. MS Girls' Race (3200m)
2:25 p.m. MS Boys' Race (3200m)
3:00 p.m. Awards
Competing runners should report to the starting line 10 minutes before the start of each race!
Eligibility: This meet is open to Mississippi Junior High School Athletes (7th, 8th & 9th Grade), no club teams. The middle school division is for 7th and 8th grade boys and girls. ONLY athletes that have competed in middle school/junior high and junior varsity races are eligible. Any athlete that has EVER run up on a Varsity Squad as a Scoring Top 7 is Not Eligible for these championships! The Freshman Division is open to all 9th grade boys and girls.
Entries: All entries will be done online at www.ms.milesplit.com! There is no charge to schools entering online! Entries are unlimited in each race, but only the TOP
SEVEN from each school will be used for scoring purposes. All runners are eligible for awards!
Online_Meet_Reg_Instructions
Entry Fee: $7.00 per athlete with a $50.00 maximum per division or $100.00 for both divisions(middle school & freshman). Please bring entry fees with you to the meet!
Parking: There will be a $5.00 per car parking fee charged at the entrance to Choctaw Trails! All coaches should be sure to inform all parents and fans of this charge!

Split Times: Split times will be given at the mile mark.
Chute: Please instruct your athletes to keep moving through the chute unless stopped by an official.
Clean up: Please help keep Choctaw Trails clean by picking up all trash.
Awards: Individual All Mid South Medals to the Top 14 Finishers in each race
T-Shirts to the Top 25 Finishers in each Middle School race and for the top 15 Finishers in the Freshman races.
T-Shirts to the Top 7 Members and Coach of the Winning Team in each Race
Team Trophies to the 1st & 2nd Place Team in each race
Note: There will be no duplication of t-shirts
