RULES OF MHSAA
WHO CAN COMPETE: Open to all high schools in Mississippi (both private and public) in addition to surrounding
ENTRIES: Will be done online by Direct Athletics, www.directathletics.com
If you do not already have an account for your team, you may request an account by emailing
email@example.com. Upon packet pick-up you will need to make any scratches
from the meet.
No Additions or Substitutions will be allowed.
NO FAX or PHONE ENTRIES will be accepted.

BULLDOG EVENT ENTRIES:
There will be a limit of 2 entries per team entered in each event.
NO "B" TEAMS CAN BE ENTERED!!!
Starting Heights/Minimum Measurements for Field Events:
High Jump 5'10" 4'8"
Pole Vault 9'0" 7'0"
Long Jump 18'0" 15'0
Discus 90'0" 75' 0"
Shot Put 40'0" 28' 0"
ENTRY FEES: There will be an Entry Fee of $100.00 a Team, ($100 for Men and $100 for Women) or $200
per school. All high schools make checks payable to: Mississippi State University
SCORING: This is a scored competition, Scoring will be:
Individual Events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Relay Events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
PREFERED LANES: 5-6-4-3-7-2-1-8-9
RESULTS: Will be posted at the conclusion of each event inside the stadium.
AWARDS: There will be T-shirts for the Top Three individuals and Winning relay Teams. There will be
Championship Trophies for the Men's & Women's Team Champions...
ADMISSION PRICES: FREE for all spectators
WARM-UP AREA: General warm up outside of stadium. The Track & Field Complex will be closed for any warm-ups.
The adjacent practice football fields will be open for warm-ups for the meet. NO THROWING ON
THE WARM-UP FB FIELDS.
WEIGH INS: Implement Weigh-ins will be at 9:00am-11:00am for the Shot Put and Discus. Implements not
weighed at this time will not be thrown. All implements will be held until the start of warmups
for each individual competition.
SAFETY: NO HEADPHONES OR AUDIO DEVICES ARE ALLOWED ON THE INFIELD or
TRACK AT ANY TIME! Failure to comply will be subject to disqualification
