It is not too often that a pair of athletes from one school sets the State leading 200 meter times in the same meet. But this last Saturday at Northwest Rankin these two did.
After losing the 400 meters 55.15 to 55.16 which is a State leading time Jayda Eckford of Clinton High School had something to prove in the 200 meters. She did it in grand style running 23.51 for the lead in the overall State 200 meters.
Now in the boys 200 meters Kristopher Moore, Clinton did not have anything to prove but he did it anyway. After all winning the 100 meters, the 400 meters and running a leg on winning relay would have been enough for one athlete but Kristopher had one more race in him. Boy did he race winning the 200 meters in 21.00 for the State Leading time
