Heather Holt Makes Foot Locker National Team!

CHARLOTTE, Nc. - Despite only four weeks of training, George C. Marshall's Heather Holt was able to push herself thru a tough and close race to make the Foot Locker National Championships. After finishing runner-up a year ago and facing injuries all year long she was able to come back and finish 7th in 17:30.

This race was very close and saw finishers 2-10 separated by under 3 seconds. Rebecca Story (TN) won the race in 17:24.

The next Virginia finisher was Emma Wolcott (Tuscarora) in 12th at 17:44. Olivia Beckner (South Lakes) was 24th after an early fall that left her knee bloodied. She finished in 18:19 and was in second at the mile.

Grant Northcutt was the boys' top finisher in 11th place in 15:19.
