Tony Mack, Pearl won probably the hardest fought race at the MHSAA Class 6A Championships. This is not downgrading any race at any of the State Cross Country meets by any way. This race featured more of the top ten boys runner than any other races plus Tony had lost to second place runner Hayden Shows just the week before on the same course. Tony won on his speed (.52 400 meters) as he out ran Hayden coming up the final hill to the finish. Tony set his PR for 5K at that Region where he lost to Hayden race running 16:26.00.
