Oak Grove Classic

Some good racing on a hot day. Oak Grove hosted its annual preseason classic Saturday and a good meet resulted. Starting at 11:00 a.m. meant hot temperature but also some hot racing at 4K.

In the boys team race PCS won by one point over Petal. Oak Groves Clay Derrick won the race but the two top teams dominated the rest of the top 10.

In the girls race PCS dominated taking the top 4 places and 6 of the top 10 races. Pre-meet favorite Lina May, Vancleave did not run due to illness but Seventh grade Emma Williams out sprinted her team mates to take the top place.
