Interview with Patton Little, Starkville

Mississippi Milesplit: Patton how has your season been going so far?

Patton: It is great so far I have improved over a minute from last year.

Mississippi Milesplit: Super! Well then what is your goal for this year?

Patton: It was to break 16 minutes.

Mississippi Milesplit: That was accomplished so what is it now?

Patton: Now.it is 15:30.00

Mississippi Milesplit: Are you going to take a shot at it this weekend at MC Watson Ford.

Patton: I hope to. I am going to shoot for sub 5 mins at the mile and then see what happens. I hope to have a faster 2nd mile at Choctaw Trails than I had at Delta State. I was too slow on my 2nd mile.

Mississippi Milesplit: You had a pretty good race with Shamar Tucker, Pearl at Clinton didn't you.

Patton: Yes I did was right there on the first mile but fell back during the 2nd but was able to pull back and out run him at the end.

Mississippi Milesplt: Being able to pull away from Shamar at the end of race is pretty good after all he is one of the top 800 meter runners in the state. Now do you have a college that you would like to attend?

Patton: I am pretty open about that and will weight my choices if any scholarships are offered me.

Mississippi Milesplit: Do you have any idea what you would like to study in college.

Patton: Maybe Engineering or Pre Med.

Mississippi Milesplit: What do you have for a GPA?

Patton: I have a 3.75 GPA and a fair ACT but plan to take the ACT again this December to raise my score.

Mississippi Milesplit: What do you like to do outside of school?

Patton: Hangout with friends and play a little football or maybe tennis.

Mississippi Milesplit: Do you take part in any other activities at school?

Patton: I am member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Mississippi Milesplit: Well good luck this weekend and I hope to see you in the Gold race with Shamar Tucker of Pearl and Jay Day of Baker, Alabama.
