Cross Country Challenge Series

What: A series of eight (8) cross country meets to determine the BEST Jackson Public Schools Cross Country Teams and Athletes of 2015. Teams’ and individual athletes’ results of each meet will determine the Best of 2015! All meets are open to other schools outside the JPS! Only JPS results will be used to determine series BEST!
Meet Dates: All JPS Meets will be run on Tuesday afternoons.
August 25 (Short Course Race - 4k) September 22
September 1 September 29 (JPS Invitational)
September 8 October 6
. September 15 October 20 (JPS Championships)
Times: Boys 5k Race 5:30 p.m.
Girls 5k Race 6:00 p.m.
Awards Ceremony 6:45 p.m.
Note: Races will start on time!
Location: Choctaw Trails
Awards: Medals to the Top 3 Boys and Girls in each meet
Medals to the Top 3 JPS Boys and Girls in each meet
Ribbons to 4th through 10th Place Boys and Girls in each meet
Team Trophies 1st Place Boys’ and Girls’ Team in the JPS Invitational
Team Trophies 1st Place Boys’ and Girls’ Team in the JPS Championships
Certificates to the Top 14 Boys and Girls All JPS Cross Country Challenge Series Team

Participation: SCHOOLS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHOW UP AND ENTER THE DAY OF THE MEET! Schools must request, receive consent and enter athletes on-line to participate in a meet! To request to participate in a meet and receive entry instructions e-mail pearlxc@bellsouth.net.
Entries: Unlimited entries! Schools enter athletes only one time for the entire series on-line at ms.milesplit.com!
Entry Fees: $30.00 per Team / $60.00 per School. Bring entry fees to the meet (do not mail)!
Make checks payable to: Jackson Public Schools
Results: Races will be timed and scored! Results will be posted at the conclusion of each meet and e-mailed to all participating head coaches.
