Blogging on the Run with the Pinter Sistes 18 Oct

First of all, we would like to wish a great big happy birthday to Caitlin Elizabeth Pinter of the Pearl Lady Pirates!!!!  She is 18 years old now and, according to the mind of modern teenagers, is now deemed appropriate to rule the world (ha, ha, ha).  Anyway, as Mom I had to throw that in there.  Our prayers are with her for a blessed and happy senior year and an amazing future.  We love you dear!!

According to Hannah, last weekend’s race was fun (may I venture to say quite hilly even), although though I wasn’t allowed to run L (sadness abounded, especially with my mom and coaches continually very forcefully reminding me not to run).  I had the opportunity to hang out with some of my friends from other teams that I had not seen in a while.  I was very proud of our Pirates.  We won all of the varsity and junior varsity races, boys and girls included.  This weekend I got to bring our miniature Dachshund’s to the Mississippi College Invitational today and they had a blast.  Apparently however, this was a very taxing adventure and said doggies are now asleep on the sofa.  Good luck to all those for a successful week and as always, may God bless you all.

Clare has had an awesome week, although a little challenging, but cannot wait for next week and the weeks to come!!  Clare’s quote for the week – “How does a kid from Coos Bay with one leg longer than the other win races?  All my life people have been telling me, ‘you are too small Pre, you’re not fast enough Pre, give up your foolish dreams Steve,’ but they forgot something - I HAVE TO WIN.”  (Steve Prefontaine)

We wanted to wrap this week’s blog up with a quote Hannah loves, and the rest of us think it is beautiful.  “Some people create with words or with music or with a brush with paints, I like to make something beautiful when I run.  I like to make people stop and say ‘I have never seen anyone run like that before’.  It is more than just a race.  It is a style, it is doing something better than anyone it is being creative.”  (Steve Prefontaine).

Sorry ladies had to change the print would have been hard to read on the internet.
