Mississippi will be selecting a 2014 Milesplit All State Team. This will be the top eight runners in each event that Mississippi Milesplit selects based on season long performances. Athletes from all six classification will be considered and all of the performances in the data base will be used. So a single performance during the season will not nessarily be a determing factor. Also athletes that do not have performances in the data base other than state will be at a disadvantage. Coaches this will mean that more performances need to be sent in over the season for an athlete to be eligible in the future. Now an athtlete that has great performances at the end of the season will be at a definite advantage as most of the last 4 meets including State are a prime indicator of an athtletes performance. Post season performance (USATF or AAU) can be determining factor in an athtlete that continues to excell to move into the top eight or as a tie breaker.

Now why are premier articles locked? The time is takes to produce an article with picturs and text is not free. The Webmaster is paid and it takes his or her time to produce these articles plus many of the articles that are written by outside authors have cost money for the author and time by the webmaster to write, format and publish. $42.00 a year is cheap for what you get plus all the other site subject matter. For Milesplit to work it takes software engineers, computer server engineers, and server time. Even during a slow part of the season Milesplit is using at least 10 cloud servers just to operate, During a season that goes up as webmasters are posting results, storing videos, formating pictures, along with posting the those pictures. Then the webmaster must still contine to get articles posted for reading and rankings to be formated and sorted for posting.
