Class 6A Boys Darnell Collier of Tupelo continued his late season dominance with a 16:11.6 to 16:27.0 victory over teammate Andrew White. Nathan Bolner of Ocean Springs came in third in 16:41.8. In the team race it was Tupelo getting back on the winning track in first with 43 points to Ocean Springs with 60.

Class 6A Girls: Kate Mattox of Starkville stated before the meet her goal was to get a PR while she did not get that she did get first place with a great time of 16:392. Tiundra of Hattiesburg was the only girl racing for her team and she almost did not make it to the starting line on time as the team bus broke down on the way. But being late did not slow her down as she took 2nd place with a time of 15:03.2. Tupelo's 1st runner was Christina Danils in 4th place overall but that did not slow the team down. Tupelo won the meet with 49 points, Ocean Springs was second with 69 points, Starkville was 3rd with 75 and and a Rebecca Buteau led Madison Central team to fourth place with 84 points.
